Eliminations in Prague: A Huge Step for Team BLO!

Ever thought about building a startup in just 24 hours? Sounds like a challenge, right? Well, that’s exactly what we took on at the Econverse eliminations in Prague! This international event brought together high school innovators like us, all competing to bring their startup ideas to life in just one day. Here’s how it all went down!

Our team—Petra Svobodová, Dawid Rutkowski, and Maciej Kopiec—was tasked with creating a new concept in fintech. We decided to harness the power of the EU Digital Identity Wallet, PSD3, and FIDA to come up with something fresh and forward-thinking: BLO, our own fintech startup concept. With a high-energy 24 hours ahead, we launched into a whirlwind of teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on mentoring.

With zero sleep but full focus, we brainstormed, drafted, and even coded a prototype! Every stage was intense, from defining our service and designing it for real-world needs, to creating sales, marketing, and funding strategies. The mentorship from Marek Ditz was invaluable—he kept us sharp, motivated, and ready to push through the night to make BLO the best it could be.

The highlight was presenting our concept to the jury. As we defended our idea and answered questions from experienced entrepreneurs and investors, the excitement was palpable. And guess what? Our hard work paid off: we won a spot in the finals in Warsaw!

Big thanks to Econverse.org for organizing such an amazing event and opening up this opportunity for young startups like ours. Competing at an international level was an experience we’ll never forget, and now, we’re more determined than ever to take BLO even further.
